For the Talent Visa EU Blue Card. You will generally qualify if you:
- Earn a gross annual salary of at least €59,373
- Have at least 5 years of professional experience (or 3 years of higher education) in your field
For the Talent Visa Qualified Employee. You will generally qualify if you:
- Hold a master's degree obtained in France
- Earn a gross annual salary of at least €39,582
In both cases, your employer does not need to apply for a separate work authorization upfront — you can go straight to requesting your visa or residence permit. For the other types of visas, your employer needs to obtain a work authorization from the French authorities before you can request your work visa.
To qualify, you must:
- Present a genuine, serious business project in France, certified by the French authorities upfront
- Secure funding for your business project of at least €30,000
- Hold at least a master's degree, or have 5 years of equivalent professional experience
- Prove sufficient resources to support yourself and your family — at least the equivalent of the annual gross full-time minimum wage (€22,404.20) in June 2026.
To qualify, you must:
- Invest personally, or through a company you manage or hold at least 30% of
- Create or safeguard jobs in France (or formally commit to doing so)
- Invest at least €300,000 in tangible or intangible business assets in France
You may qualify for the "Talent — National or International Renown" Visa if:
- Your reputation, nationally or internationally, is already well established, or
- You can make a significant and lasting contribution to France's economic development, regional development, or international standing
You'll also need to prove resources at least equal to the annual gross minimum wage (€22,404.20) in June 2026.
To qualify, you must:
- Hold at least a master's degree
- Be coming to France to conduct research or teach at university level
- Have a hosting agreement with an approved public or private research or higher-education institution
To qualify, you must:
- Hold a valid authorization to practice under the French Public Health Code
- Earn a gross annual salary of at least €41,386.48
To qualify, you must prove monthly resources of at least 70% of the gross full-time minimum wage — at least 51% of which must come from your work as a performing artist or as the author of a literary or artistic work.
